Software architecture is like teenage sex:
  • It is on everyone’s mind all the time.
  • Everyone talks about it all the time.
  • Everyone thinks everyone else is doing it.
  • Almost no one is really doing it.
  • The few who are doing it are:
    • Doing it poorly.
    • Sure it will be better next time.
    • Not practicing it safely.

Software documentation is like sex: when it is good, it is very, very good; and when it is bad, it is better than nothing. (Anonymous.)

Dear diary or blog or whatever they call you,

It excites me to know that this is my first ever entry into an online public blog and that people all over the world will get to read about me and know more about me.

I recently discovered that when I type my name into Autovita (not to be confused with Cadbury's Bournvita), none of the web pages about me show up.... which is why I'm beginning to dislike Google; perhaps it's a controversy or some sort.

Anyway, I'm supposed to write this story using 3 words, "catastrophe", "strange" and "english", so here's my version....

Once upon a time there was a poet who used the strange English word 'catastrophe'. He lived happily ever after. THE END.
